Noelle is one of the earliest charactersGenshin Impactplayers meet. She’s a guaranteed pull from the Beginner’s Wish banner. The gentle maid is the definition of a tank, which makes her useful among more fragileGenshin Impactcharacters like Amber and Lisa.
Noelle is easy to get a handle on. Running into a group of enemies and mashing Attack will probably get things done, but there’s a decent amount of depth to her kit. Mondstadt’s Chivalric Blossom can actually fill multiple roles on a team. If the player builds her correctly, she’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

Updated Jul 18, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah:Thedelay of Genshin Impact 2.7isn’t only affecting the update time, but it also causes the fanbase to get stuck with Ayaka’s banner throughout the second half of version 2.6. This isn’t bad news for many though, because Kamisato Ayaka is currently the best DPS in the game, so many people are trying to get her into their team. For those who aren’t, they suddenly have three weeks extra to save for Yelan and Kuki Shinobu.
Other than the extended character banner, the weapon banner is also staying. In Genshin Impact 2.6, Mistsplitter Reforged is featured along with The Unforged. Due to the banner extension, some Travelers may be trying their luck to getAyaka’s best sword in Genshin Impact, Mistsplitter. In this attempt, the featured Claymore, The Unforged, may come home instead. When this happens, many people start to wonder whether they should hand the weapon to characters like Noelle. To help settle this doubt, this article has been updated to include more information for both support and DPS Noelle build in Genshin Impact.

Noelle As A Support
The obvious role for Noelle to fill is that of support. Her kit is built around her Elemental Skill,Breastplate. Not only does this Skill put up a shield that can be transferred, but Noelle restores health to the party on hit. Her first Constellation makes it even better.I Got Your Backincreases Breastplate’s healing proc rate when her Burst and Skill are up at the same time.Remember that Noelle’s attacks only heal while Breastplate is active, so be careful not to break the shield too quickly.
Other than as a healer, a support Noelle can also be built as aGenshin Impactshielder. However, it’s important to note that the Favonius Maid has a rather low skill uptime, where her Elemental Skill cooldown can be too long in a dangerous fight.

Best Weapons For Support Noelle
Whiteblindenhances Noelle’s DEF stat, allowing her to strengthen her shield and boost her healing. Meanwhile,Sacrificial Greatswordis the best choice if players are building the Maid as a shielder. With thisGenshin ImpactClaymore, Noelle can shield more often, removing the issue of her long cooldown time. As forFavonius Greatsword, this weapon is great to help Noelle regain her Elemental Burst quickly. With it, Travelers can ensure Noelle can be a reliable healer for the team.
Best Artifact For Support Noelle
Noelle’s best artifact as a support also adjusts to the role players want her to fill. For a shielder,Husk of Opulent Dreamswill greatly increase her DEF stat. But if they want her as both a shielder and a healer, then a mix ofHusk of Opulent Dreams and Maiden Beloved or Ocean-Hued Clamwill do the trick. Meanwhile,4-Maiden Belovedcan be used for a dedicated-healer Noelle. Meanwhile, withOcean-Hued Clam, Noelle can heal and deal damage at the same time. Note thatthe Favonius Maid can easily maximize Ocean-Hued Clam’s potential, but if players want her to deal damage, there are better methods than this one.

Noelle As A Geo DPS
Don’t underestimate Noelle’s ability to deal damage. Charged Claymore attacks are incredibly powerful and come out faster than normals. Breastplate also deals Geo damage when activated next to an enemy. Noelle’s potential as a DPS is realized when she unlocks her finalGenshin ImpactConstellation.Must Be Spotlessincreases her ATK by 50% of her DEF during her Elemental Burst.
Best Weapons For DPS Noelle
Arataki Itto’s best Claymore,Redhorn Stonethresher, is unsurprisingly excellent for Noelle. Both units scale with DEF, so by far, this weapon is the best option for a DPS Noelle. Following behind Redhorn areSerpent SpineandThe Unforged. Serpent Spine focuses more on Critical Rate stat while The Unforged can provide a massive boost to ATK stat. For F2P players, theforgeableGenshin Impactweapon,Whiteblind, is the best option for both support and DPS Noelle. Lastly,Skyward Prideis great to help Noelle regain her Energy. The Favonius Maid’s damage dealing highly relies on the availability of her Elemental Burst, so Skyward Pride can greatly ease this task.
Best Artifact For DPS Noelle
Previously,Retracing Bolidewas the best option for DPS Noelle, but this set is now outperformed byHusk of Opulent Dreams. If the two sets are unavailable, players can also opt for the more-common set,Gladiator’s Finale. TheHusk of Opulent Dreams + Archaic Petracombo is also viable if getting a 4-piece set is too hard.

Best Teammates For Noelle
As a healer and shielder, Noelle slots well into just about any team composition. Theone thing to keep in mind is Elemental Reactions. Geo characters can only cause Crystallize, a reaction that’s solely meant to be defensive, so the party should already set up their reacting elements before Noelle comes in.
Although a DPS Noelle is pretty self-sufficient, she’ll benefit fromthe right composition. Geo resonance is by far the best resonance inGenshin Impact, providing extra shield strength, Geo RES reduction, and most importantly, a whopping 15% DMG bonus if the character is protected by a shield. Considering Noelle can easily shield herself (both through her Skill and Elemental Reaction), the Favonius Maid can greatly benefit both from the DMG Bonus and RES reduction.
