Player Mistakes
Back to All Characters
Dori is the second Electro healer inGenshin Impact, which means she has to compete with Kuki Shinobu to enter the players’ party. Although the two are similar in many ways, there are also a lot of differences between their kits. Therefore, the mistakes players can make would differ as well.

When it comes to Dori inGenshin Impact, many mistakes come from players being indecisive on the role they want Dori to take. Other than that, many parts of her mechanics are easy to miss as well.
7Playing Aggravate On Low Constellations
Aggravate-focus is one of the viableDori builds inGenshin Impact. However, this route should not be taken unless players have at least C2 Dori. This is because her Constellations increase the number of Aggravate she can trigger. While at C0, Dori barely triggers the Dendro x Electro reaction. Aggravate build is also the only time when Dori’s final Constellation is worth using.
Meanwhile, at lower Constellations, players can either build Dori as a healer, support, or Electro-Charged or Hyperbloom trigger.

6Not Utilizing Dori’s Electro Applications
Dori has a unique feature where her Jinni creates a line of Electro that connects to the active character. When this line hits enemies, it will deal damage every 0.4s while applying Electro to them in the process. The obvious way to use this mechanic is to trigger Electro-related reactions like Electro-Charged, but players can also use it to trigger other reactions like Hyperbloom.
Hyperbloom is usually a hassle to perform as players have to hit Dendro Cores with Electro, but with Dori’s Electro line, Travelers can simply walk around the area, touching the Dendro Cores with the purple line.

5Not Choosing A Single Role For Dori
Dori can perform well in multiple roles, but not choosing a single one can cause her performance to drop. For example, if players buildDori to be a healer and Hyperbloom trigger, her build would look something likeEM/EM/Healing Bonus+4pc Maiden Beloved+Rainslasherweapon.
This is not a good idea, as players would be missing out on up to 417 Elemental Mastery from artifacts, which is a massive loss in Hyperbloom damage. It’s best if players stick to one job for Dori so that they won’t miss out on Dori’s full potential.

4Overestimating Dori’s C6
Dori’s sixth Constellation may seem good on paper, but in reality, it’s mostly not worth using. Three seconds to use Dori’s Normal Attacks are a waste of time ontime-sensitive content like the Spiral Abyss, so it’s better to ignore the feature.
However, there are some cases where Dori’s Electro Infusion is worth using, like:

3Not Adjusting Dori’s Equipment To Her Role
Dori’sbuild inGenshin Impactobviously has to adjustto her role, and this includes artifact main stat, artifact set, and also her weapon. In short, here’s what players should use for each job:
2Underestimating Dori’s Energy Recovery
Dori doesn’t only heal with her Elemental Burst, but she also regenerates the active character’s Energy. At level 10, she grants 2.5 Energy every 2s. So in total, Dori will regenerate a whopping 15 Energy. This means she’s not only a good healer but also anamazingGenshin ImpactBattery.

After unlocking Dori’s fourth Constellation, a character with less than 50% Energy will also gain 30% extra Energy Recharge, allowing them to accumulate Energy faster. This feature of Dori is not widely advertised, but underestimating it is a grave mistake for sure.
1Forgetting Dori’s Cleansing Feature
Dori’s Elemental Burst grants various effects, and that includescleansing. Cleansing is something players can do to remove an Elemental debuff. For example, if a character is affected by Cryo debuff, they will use significantly more Stamina than usual. To remove the debuff, players need to self-apply Elements that react with Cryo, like Pyro, Electro, or Anemo. This can be done byeither getting hit by an Element or by using abilities that self-apply Elements.
For instance, Bennett’s Inspiration Field self-inflict Pyro and Jean’s Dandelion Field will Swirl the debuff away. Meanwhile,Dori grants Electro application to whoever is connectedto her Jinni (Elemental Burst).

However, note that this self-application can also backfire. For example, if a character gets hit by Pyro while they’re affected by Dori’s Electro, the Overloaded reaction will occur, throwing players away.
Genshin Impactis now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
