With the arrival ofGenshin Impact’sLantern Rite Tales, players can accept a series of nine side quests that reward primogems. While the majority of these side quests are extremely simple to complete, “The Illumiscreen: I” is slightly more complicated.
To begin the quest,Genshin Impactplayers must first accept the quest from the Lantern Rite Tales hub, which can be accessed from the event page. After accepting the quest, players must now travel to Liyue Harbor and speak to Brother Qian.

Brother Qian will explain that he had three lanterns specially made that project an image onto the map of Liyue behind him. The lanterns can be rotated, and when the correct image is projected onto the map, it will reveal the location of three treasures that have been curated by the Adventurers' Guild.
After testing out the rotating lanterns, Brother Qian will then tell the player that the shape they must project onto theIllumiscreen is of a Glaze Lily. The player must then rotate the three lanterns to complete the shape of a Glaze Lily on the map.
Once the shape has been successfully projected onto the map, it will reveal three treasure locations to which the player must travel to complete the quest. The player does not need to determine the location of the treasures from the Illumiscreen, as all three locations should automatically track through the in-game map.
The firsttreasure locationcan be found east of Mt. Aozang inside a small cave. Players should be well prepared before attempting this treasure location, as there is a large number of geo-slimes that must be defeated before players can claim the treasure.
Additionally, the treasure area has numerous spiders on the cave walls that will continuously damage the player, so it is recommended to bring a ranged character to the battle. After the player has defeated all of the enemies, they will find the precious chest on top of the shrine of the depth.
The second treasure location can be found in the western part of Sal Terrae and is guarded by a group of Treasure Hoarders. After defeating the Treasure Hoarders, players can find the precious chest by digging underneath the large tent.
The final treasure location can be found underneath a waterfall in the northwest of Wuwang Hill. At this location, players must defeat a series of ice slimes before they can claim the precious chest.
After the player has completed the final treasure location, they simply need to return to Brother Qian toreceive the 30 primogem rewardfor completing the quest.
