A post on the officialGenshin Impactsubreddit shows an animated version of one of Raiden Shogun’s official artwork, and unsurprisingly it has attracted a lot of attention in the community. Reddit user SammichIzGud is known in the community for making animatedGenshin Impactartworks, and many people eagerly wait for each of his posts. Numerous replies in the comment section praise SammichIzGud’s latest work, claiming that it’s even better than the official one released by Hoyoverse.
Besides its exceptional quality, another reason why the post caught the eye of so many fans is the fact that it features one ofGenshin Impact’smost popular characters, Raiden Shogun. She is known as the current Electro Archon and the protector of the Inazuma region. The main story of the whole Inazuma arc revolves around this mysterious yet lovable character. Raiden Shogun has two forms, her true identity Ei and a poppet created to rule Inazuma known as Shogun.
While Ei meditates in the Plane of Euthymia, Shogun is programmed to ruthlessly watch over Inazuma. Despite her cold-blooded demeanor, Shogun often finds herself being manipulated by malicious forces like the Fatui and the Koju clan who incited her to start the infamous Vision Hunt Decree. When it comes to her power as a playable character, she is widely considered to be one of, if not thebest character in theGenshin Impactat the moment. Her ability to fit into almost any team composition can hardly be matched by any other character, and she’s certainly a must-have for parties that have issues generating Energy particles.
Raiden Shogun’s first arrival and the re-run currently hold the record for being the two most pulled banners in the game’s history. On her second banner she was paired with theHydro catalyst user Sangonomiya Kokomi, but multiple banner charts have revealed that around 80% of players chose Raiden Shogun between the two.
Genshin Impactis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development with no confirmed release date.
