Genshin Impacthas a very strict six-week update cycle.Genshin Impact2.4 release date is expected to be on August 08, 2025. For the past few updates, players have been dotted with content in Inazuma. This streak will continue in 2.4, where a new area,Enkanomiya, will be added. However, the next Version will also pull Travelers back to Liyue. Just like last year, it’s time for theLantern Rite Festival.

Lantern Rite is an important Chinese celebration, so it won’t be surprising that thisevent will be held every year inGenshin Impact. Other than these two things, players can look forward to the following additions.
New Characters Banner: Shenhe And Yun Jin
A while after 2.3,Genshin Impactplayers are teased with the upcoming characters,ShenheandYun Jin. Thankfully, everything must’ve gone well in the Beta test, as both characters are coming in Version 2.4.
Re-run Characters Banner: Xiao, Ganyu, and Zhongli
Fans would’ve expected another dual re-run after Eula and Albedo’sdouble banner inGenshin Impact2.3. However, it’s quite surprising to see thatin Version 2.4, there will be three re-run charactersinstead of two. For the first banner, Xiao will be available alongside Shenhe. Meanwhile, in the second half, Ganyu and Zhongli will be available in a double re-run.
New Area: Enkanomiya
The nameEnkanomiyawouldn’t sound foreign for players who indulge themselves in the story. However, for those who may not know, this place exists below Watatsumi Island.People of ancient Watatsumiused to reside there before Orobashi lifted them to the surface.
Some new enemies will be available along with Enkanomiya:
New Boss: Bathysmal Vishaps Boss
ThisGenshin Impactbosswill be available in Enkanomiya. They will be a Normal Boss, which means a character will require the boss’s drop to ascend. As Shenhe and Yun Jin are the newest units, they’re the most probable contenders for this requirement.

IfGenshin Impactfollows the same pattern with Ittoand Gorou, then Shenhe is more likely to need the new boss’s drop instead of Yun Jin.
New Weapon: Calamity Queller
While the stat isn’t fully revealed yet, players can expect Calamity Queller to be the best-in-slot Polearm for Shenhe.
New Hangouts: Ningguang And Yun Jin
For players who love Ningguang,Genshin Impact2.4 comes with a surprise. In the next version, fans can spend time with the Tianquan. Other than that, there will also be anew Hangout Eventwith the Opera Singer, Yun Jin.
New Events
Next, what’s a new Version without filler events? InGenshin Impact2.4, there are several events to look forward to:
The first three are likely to be a part of the Lantern Rite, which is promised to be “more exciting than last year”. However, what most players seem to be looking forward to is the Windtrace re-run. This hide-and-seek PvP event was a great success on its initial release, and fans are eager to see what fresh twists it will bring.
Prosperous Partnership
Similar to last year’s Lantern Rite, inGenshin Impact2.4, players can also get a free 4-star Liyue character of their choice. This will include the new unit, Yun Jin.
New Skins: Keqing And Ningguang
After Barbara and Jean’s skin, the next “outfits” are available for Ningguang and Keqing. Just like last time,the 4-star skin is free, while the 5-star version is obtainable via the Shop.

Quality Of Life Fixes
