Various users including SomeBoricuaDude, Derza_B, and raidebaron have pointed out that Zorii’s Y-Wing also doesn’t have a droid when the jet appears in the movie. At this time, the different confirmations mean that theFortniteY-Wing model, dutifully crafted, remains faithful to the movie version.
In that regard, Epic Games has a dedicated team to not just implement items fromStar Wars, but make players feel like they are running around as those very same characters. On the other hand, the Y-Wing might just be an example where not implementing the detail of a droid head worked out, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with other items.
