There’s something oddly therapeutic about creating a strange playdough character and putting them in harm’s way against friends and family.Gang Beastssees a bundle of cartoonish and colorful characters that punch, kick and throw each other to claim victory on the destructive maps that they spawn onto.

There’s endless joy and laughter inGang Beasts, in part to theridiculousness of physical combat, which remains entirely adorable and silly despite the brutal nature of headbutts and throwing people through glass. The game is somewhat forgotten, due to glitches and a lack of PlayStation updates, but it’s a riot.

7Hidden Agenda

Interactive stories have been a great gift to the gaming scene. It exposed that many players have different opinions and desires as to where the narrative should go, and what choices the characters should make.Hidden Agendabrings a thought-provoking narrative to the party scene, as players will decide entirely together in a voting fashion what choices follow their narrative.

Players must agree as a group to the direction of the narrative, and help detective Beck Marney and district attorney Felicity Graves to solve the string of murders connected to an unknown serial killer. It’s a great thriller that engages all members of the party.

6100ft Robot Golf

Golf is a fun activity for groups. It can be a patient sport,one which rewards smarts. However, when one throws giant mech robots into the mix, things are less than patient and calm. There are a lot of crazed hijinks to be had in100ft Robot Golf, a title that clearly states the direction of this game. Players will take turns running across a city-scape golf course, destroying buildings in their path.

Each player can choose their mecha robot, which has unique power-up abilities. There’s an immense amount of joy to be had in this title, as players can get in the way of their friends, or even engage them in a battle as if they never intended to play golf in the first place.

5That’s You!

This party game remains exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and brings players closer to their friends and family. The game asks questions, to which each player will answer anonymously, only to expose the victor. It’s a barrel of laughs for those that are close to one another and makes friends and families discover new things about each other,and that’s certainly without dismemberment.

Thanks toThat’s You!players will bring back the middle school nostalgia of late-night games and icebreaker activities. Players must vote on questions such as “who would get lost and insist on keeping the map?” and another variety of bizarrely funny questions.

It may not be entirely fair to haveOvercookedon the list, but it was forgotten over its sequel,Overcooked 2. The first game did a lot of things right and was adored by a large audience. However,Overcookedlacked the features and innovation seen in its sequel, which makes for a far better party experience. However, that does not meanOvercookeddeserves to be left to burn.

Players will embark through the chaos as theycook together in an immense array of chaos. Friends will need to communicate and coordinate to create great cuisine in a multitude of strange diners and restaurants in a variety of locations.

3Cake Bash

If players adored the grand party gameMario Party, thenCake Bashis a great title for PlayStation fans. This title adds atwist on the classic formulathat many expect from party games, all but with a dessert treat. However, this game can be less than sweet, depending on the skill that players wager against one another.

Cake Bashhas players battle each other in a variety of methods. The classic minigames from Mario Party have a unique spin when a variety of cupcakes declare war on one another. Combos and free-for-all style combat is sure to engage parties in a multitude of ways.

2Knowledge Is Power

Trivia games are a great way to bring people together. People love being correct, and trivia tests their knowledge in the best ways. After all, the title says it best,Knowledge is Power. The game is a quiz that allows players to choose their wacky characters to progress through the ranks with genres of questions of their choosing.

What Knowledge of Power lacks is updated. Questions have not been included since the release in 2017, making for some answers to feelrepeated on multiple playthroughs. However, the inclusion of sabotaging gameplay elements makes for a fun experience against rivals and friends.

Friendly competition can be a lot of fun in the party format.Ultimate Chicken Horseallows players to embark on an anti-platformer journey, as they build the level whilst they play. Players will create and place traps and hazards in an attempt to sabotage and beat their friends while ensuring their victory against their cunning.

Many levels with different traps are sure to keep players on their toes. Especially when each player has their cunning to bring to the table. Sadly, a lack of updates and new levels makes the game somewhat forgettable, considering it came out in 2016.
