The fan-madeDragon Ball Demon Breakerproject, being developed by the Saiya-Slash team and ATLAS studios, has made quite the impact within theDragon Ballcommunity. The gameplay is inspired byDevil May Cryand revolves around the half-Saiyan swordsman Trunks as he attempts to defeat the Time Breaker Organization, an evil forces made famous by theDragon Ball Xenoversetitles. The newestDragon Ball Demon Breakertrailer has released and welcomes fan-favorite characters Goku and Vegeta to the action.

The previous trailer for the fan game highlighted theDevil May Cry-like combat and showed off Trunks' ability to turn Super Saiyan. Although Goku and Vegeta make an appearance in the trailer, they only appear as support characters. Goku acts as an offensive support, bringing his signature Power Pole to unleash a combo on enemies. The Saiyan prince Vegetaassists using a long-range ki-blast combo.

Both Goku and Vegeta are able to turn Super Saiyan during their assist moves, but this is most likely based on the support meter, which appears much like assists in other fighting games such as theNaruto: Ultimate Ninja Stormseries andOne Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. It is possible that Goku and Vegeta will become playable characters, but may be far off in development due to the game being a fan project.

The trailer also shows off nexttransformation for Trunks. Trunks is able to transform into a Super Saiyan God and wield the legendary Keysword from the non-canonSuper Dragon Ball Heroesmanga. While Trunks was never able to achieve this transformation in the original manga, it seemsDragon Ball Demon Breakerwill be based on the alternate time-patrol Trunks.

Although it is not an officially licensed title, the trailer ofDragon Ball Demon Breakerreveals a playable demo will release on June 07, 2025.
