DespiteFall Guyshaving seemingly dropping off many player’s radars following its massive launch, there are still plenty invested in the wacky battle royale. It’s only natural that some players would fall off in the months after release, especially seeing asFall Guysbroke massive records for PS Plusand earned incredible numbers on Steam.

Still, Mediatonic is providing new content forFall Guysplayers, and the overall reception to Season 2 has been positive. Now, Mediatonic has released a mid-season update forFall GuysSeason 2 that includes new rounds with map variations, costumes, and more.

For those who may have dropped offFall Guys, the Season 2 update brought on an overarching theme to the game.Fall Guys’ medieval levelsand costumes added a new flavor to the game, while still maintaining the zany feel that drew fans in to begin with. However, now that Season 2 has been in full swing for over a month, some fans may be feeling a bit of burnout with the current rounds on rotation. Thus, Mediatonic is shaking that up in a big way with this mid-season update.

The officialFall GuysTwitter account released a trailer showcasing some of the things players can expect from the update. Perhaps thebiggest change coming toFall Guys’ Season 2is the addition of more variations in rounds. This means that standard rounds like Fruit Chute and Perfect Match will have additional hazards added, including rotating pillars or hammers. This should do a lot to add some variety to rounds that may have gotten stale.

Another big change through the mid-season update is theBig Fan round coming toFall Guys, which looks like a “race to the end” course with only rotating fans for platforms. Additionally, there are bug fixes coming with the update, patching out issues like lost jump inputs, random falling, and clipping through tiles. For players with connection issues, the update is also adding a region selector so players end up in servers closer to their location. Finally, new cosmetics are coming, along with the reappearance of the featured crown costumes from Season 1.

All in all, this mid-season update forFall Guysseems substantial. The game is getting helpful fixes alongside variation that should keep the game fresh for the remainder of Season 2. It’s almost hard to believe thatFall Guysis still relatively new considering it dominated the gaming landscape for a long time. With Season 2 at the halfway mark, hopefully theinevitableFall GuysSeason 3 updatewill continue to maintain the game’s playerbase.

Fall Guysis available now for PC and PS4.
