We’re not sure if The Lands Between celebrate April Fools' Day, but we certainly do! Hope everyone had a great day!
Many no doubt remember the long agonizing wait for basically any detail regardingElden Ringahead of launch, with FromSoftware’s marketing campaign not really taking off until the final few months before release. For a bit now, it seemed fans were in for a similar wait withElden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, as FromSoftware name-dropped it with a single image on a random Tuesday in February. However, just like Radahn crashing from the sky, new information has dropped out of nowhere once again.

With the burning of the Erdtree, it seems several rules set forth by The Greater Will in The Lands Between have been diminished, allowing the remnants of a once-powerfulElden Ringorganization to rise from its ashes. Prior to the Two Fingers serving as envoys and vassals to the Greater Will, predating even The Golden Order, an organization known as The Triple E—with one previous member hinted at being the Gloam-Eyed Queen—once served a similar role. In this DLC, players will face off with the last remaining member: Remnant of The Triple E, Godking Caffeine.

NewElden Ringlore suggests that infighting, as well as the rise of The Golden Order, is ultimately what led to the Triple E’s downfall. Whether the Two Fingers or The Greater Will itself were directly involved somehow is not clear. However, it seems there was some competition between The Triple E and the Golden Order, with the two deciding to settle their differences in a contest known as theFest of Summer Game.
On the eve of this though, Godking Caffeine was betrayed by those closest to the order, who may also serve as potential bosses or allies. These characters, whopulled out of the Triple E, include The Blue Blur, the Dragon Born of Rimsky, and the first Black Knife Assassin, Creed. A new member of The Golden Order will also be introduced, Keighleigh, whose lore suggests he departed The Triple E before many others and joined up with The Golden Order.
Game Rant has been provided with the new screenshot above, showing the moment that these Triple E members pulled out. Game Rant also has a few exclusive dialogue lines of Godking Caffeine that fans can listen toHERE(Content warning: explicit language).
Fans can expect to learn more about thisElden RingDLC and its story at Summer Game Fest in June. At press time, Keighleigh was overheard saying, “Oh, for sure. The Fest of Summer Game competition is always there whenever E3, I mean The Triple E, shows any weakness.”
Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is currently in development.
