A group ofElden Ringplayers celebrates a deviously clever ambush with a funny combination of gestures. WhileElden Ringcan be very well enjoyed as a single player experience, the multiplayer side of the game is full of plenty of fun for people looking for a good time. While most of the time players will run into invaders who just want to fight, others will find friendship, aplayer who just wants to walk around The Lands Between, or a good group to play with. In this case, a group of players found fun in setting up a clever ambush for an invader.

InElden Ring, setting up a PVP ambush can take a lot of know-how, especially if one has the right tool, like whenone person set up an ambush in the Lake of Rot. One of the most important tools in that instance is the Mimic Veil, a magical item that transforms a player into an object that’s in the surrounding area. As long as a player knows where to use the mimic veil, and what object to be, setting up an ambush to take out invaders or hosts can be quite easy, and even amusing if things go well.

The Mimic Veil was also a prominent tool used in this story, leading to quite a humorous ambush for one unlucky invader. Posting to r/Eldenring, user bbbonkk uploaded a clip of them hiding as a standard thanks to the Mimic Veil. They, along with another player, wait as the host leads the invader into the ambush spot. As the invader gets near, both hidden players emerge from their veils and jump-attack the invader. The resulting double jump attack immediately kills the invader, and the party celebrates with a combination of emotes, as well as thehost tea-bagging the areawhere the invader died.

In the comments, many users spoke of the great combination of emotes that the group employed, some even saying they wouldn’t be angry if they were killed by theElden Ringgroup. Others did mention that it was the host who was tea-bagging, stating they didn’t do anything when users pointed out they were the most important aspect of the ambush, the bait.

Elden Ring, like most of FromSoftware’s games, uses emotes as a way for players to express themselves, though they can have a practical use too, like being able toavoid most of Malenia’s attacks with an emote. A good emote can go a long way, but it can also lead to problems. The wrong emote at the wrong time can lead to a quick death, so it’s good to take care whenever an emote is used.

Elden Ringis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
