TheMonstrous Compendiumsare a small collection ofDungeons and Dragonsmaterials players can use to help tell stories in different worlds. The resources contain monster stat blocks players can feature in their games, often in collaboration with other Wizards of the Coast releases, such asSpelljammer: Adventures in Space,Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen, andMinecraft’sDungeons and DragonsDLC.

Now,Dungeons and Dragonshas released the fourth volume of theMonstrous Compendiumseries. This collection of creatures includes 25 unique stat blocks inspired by the denizens of Eldraine, themystical land featured in multipleMagic: The Gatheringsets. The book has almost as many monsters as the three previousMonstrous Compendiumscombined, but unlike its predecessors, Volume 4 is not free: fans will need to buy the digital sourcebook for $6 fromD&D Beyondto access it.
Dungeon masters can find creatures of ranging of almost every type in theMonstrous Compendium Volume 4, but many of them are Fey, fitting the fairy-tale setting of Eldraine perfectly. From the CR ½ Gingerbrute and Faerie Borrower to the mysterious CR 15 Archon of Boundaries or the massive CR 18 Beanstalk Wurm, thesemonsters can provide challenges forDungeons and Dragonsparties of any level.
Magic: The Gatheringfans recently had the chance to return to the storybook setting in the card game as well.Wilds of Eldraine, the second set located in the realm, was released on May 31, 2025. Were that not exciting enough,Magic: The Gatheringis collaborating with franchises likeFinal Fantasy,Fallout, andAssassin’s Creedin the near future, so there seems to be no end of these crossovers in sight.
As forDungeons and Dragons, the collaborative DLC withMinecraftjust officially went live on September 26.
