Bandai Namco recently held an event called Dragon Ball Battle Hour to celebrate variousDragon Ballgames, namely by presenting new details and information on the various featured titles. One of the games present at the event happened to beDragon Ball FighterZ, and during its time in the spotlight, it decided to present some new details on itsfinal season 3 fighter, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, showcasing gameplay and a bunch of other pertinent information for the character.
Such details include Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta’s release date and a look at the Dramatic Finish he shares with Blue Gogeta, his canon counterpart. Regarding his release date, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta will take his spot onDragon Ball FighterZroster come Friday, March 12, so in only a few days. As for his Dramatic Finish, SS4 Gogeta can, of course, pull it off against Gogeta Blue, but whether Gogeta Blue can do it against SS4 remains to be seen, but the way it plays out certainly makes it seem possible.

It’s unclear if theGogeta [SS4] trailerdisplaying the Finish is showing the whole thing, but if it is, then the Finish doesn’t show a clear winner between Gogeta’s two versions. While simplistic, the animation is also one of the most explosive in the game, as it sees both Gogetas agree to settle their duel with a clash of Ki. The two fusions launch their most powerful Kamehameha waves, and once the two beams make contact, the resulting explosion shatters their dimension and eclipses Earth.
While it may not seem like it at first, givingSS4 Gogeta a Dramatic Finish with Gogeta Blueis fitting. Goku and Vegeta are the only twoSuperandGTcharacters that can use the Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan 4 transformations, and Gogeta is their only fusion to use both in their respective franchises. In other words, Gogeta is the embodiment of Super Saiyan 4 and Super Saiyan Blue, making this Dramatic Finish about Super Saiyan Blue versus Super Saiyan 4, not about Gogeta versus Gogeta.
Sadly, for now, it looks like Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta will be thelast DLC character added toDragon Ball FighterZ. Bandai Namco didn’t announce if Arc System Works would be developing a Season 4 pass for the game after Dragon Ball Battle Hour concluded, so it’s currently not looking good for more DLC content. Of course, the publisher or developer could release more information after Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta drops in a few days, so it’s not set in stone yet.
