Dragon Age 4was first announced at The Game Awards 2018, but details on what it will entail have remained scarce since then.Dragon Agefans have been treated to a teaser trailerhere and there, but they haven’t gotten a proper look at the gameplay or even many concrete story details. However, there’s a chance that will change sooner rather than later, as the next game in theDragon Agefranchise could very well be featured at the EA Play event on July 22.

Twitter account PlayStation Game Size has discovered evidence that EA is going to release aDragon Age 4alpha test of some kind on the PlayStation Store in July, prior to the EA Play event taking place (though this evidence was apparently not in the form of it appearing in the database). As pointed out by GamesRadar, this doesn’t mean that it will actually be playable for the public. It’s possible it could be a press-only thing, or alternatively, it could be something else related toDragon Age 4instead of an alpha test, so fans should keep that in mind as well.

It’s unclearwhatexactlyDragon Age 4is going to have go live next month, but this does seem to be a strong indication that the game will be atEA Play on July 22. Usually taking place during E3 week, EA Play is typically EA’s big event where it showcases its upcoming games, andDragon Age 4would certainly fit the bill as one of the company’s most significant upcoming titles.

IfDragon Age 4does make an appearance at EA Play as expected, it will be interesting to see if it finally shows gameplay or if it gets another story trailer. The “alpha” implication of this leak does suggest that we could be seeingDragon Age 4gameplay of some kind at EA Play, but fans may want to keep their expectations in check for now. It’s perhaps more likely that they will instead get another trailer featuring Solas the Dread Wolf or one that expands more onred lyrium’s role inDragon Age 4.

Dragon Age 4isn’t the only big game “leaked” for the EA Play event on July 22. There are also rumblings that EA Motive is set to announce a new game based on one of the company’s established IPs. Rumor has it that the IP in question is none other than the dormantDead Spacefranchise, with aDead Spacerevival gameset to be announced at EA Play. Whether or not there’s any truth to these rumors remains to be seen, but fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
