Having edged out several other games to become Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards,Splatoon 3has drawn the attention of more gamers, including Dr Disrespect, who’s set to play it on stream for the first time. Since the firstSplatoonwasreleased on the Wii U in 2015, it has been progressively garnering a broader audience which is set to include the popular YouTube livestreamer Dr Disrespect withSplatoon 3.Reacting to its victory at The Game Awards, Dr Disrespect shared theSplatoon 3cover art with his community while seemingly asking how the game beatCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2in the Best Multiplayer Game of 2022 category. Other runners-up in the category beyondCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2wereOverwatch 2,MultiVersus, andTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, butSplatoon 3ultimately received more votes. Dr Disrespect stated that he would be playingSplatoon 3next week in a December 10 tweet response to his initially puzzled one about the Nintendo Switch game winning at The Game Awards. Though he failed to confirm a specific day on which he’d be playingSplatoon 3on YouTube Gaming, Dr Disrespect’s tweet suggests that he will go live with someSplatoongameplay by Saturday at the latest.
Dr Disrespect is known for streaming and creating YouTube content forgames likeCall of Duty: Warzone 2,Apex Legends,Fortnite,NBA 2K23, andHalo Infinite, butSplatoon 3could be a bit outside the two-time champion’s wheelhouse. Given his expertise in the shooter genre, Dr Disrespect may be successful in the TPS aspect ofSplatoon 3but may not take to painting the battlefield in vibrant colors as quickly. Because Dr Disrespect doesn’t normally stream Nintendo games, theSplatoon 3livestream may draw in more viewers as there are plenty of Nintendo fans that don’t delve into theCall of Dutytitles orApex Legends.
Although some Dr Disrespect fans were speaking negatively aboutSplatoon 3’s Game Awards victoryat first, some members of the community turned around to express anticipation for the upcoming stream.
