Xur has returned again toDestiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. Bug have also started popping up within the game of late, including one which allows Arcstrider Hunters to also use strand abilities as well. While Bungie has yet to comment on that, it didtease out next week’sDestiny 2update,which not only restores three exotic items, but also tweaks a number of perks and corrects the generous rewards given out from the Last Wish weekly quest.
In addition to the update tease, Bungie also addressed the fact that theweekly Destiny 2 blog post now has a new name. This Week at Bungie has now become This Week in Destiny, doing away with the TWAB nickname as well as rebranding the blog for the first time since 2016. While it may take fans a little while to get used to the change, the reasoning makes sense considering Bungie is no longer just a “Destiny” studio after publicly announcing its next game,Marathon.

For now, the weekend merchant Xur has made a return to the world ofDestiny 2. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of June 01, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Over the weekend, players should head to Watcher’s Grave on Nessus to find the merchant up the massive tree towards the back of the zone.
From the Director, head to Nessus and load into Watcher’s Grave. Run towards the back of the zone where a massive tree is found. Jump up until players find the huge branch where the merchant is hanging out.
Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Exotic Perk:
The Whispers - Gain an additional melee charge. Charged melee final blows spawn an Orb of Power.
A solid exotic as players not only get two melee charges, but can spawn an Orb of Power upon final blows using a melee attack. It may not be flashy, but this is a solid pickup.
Orpheus Rig - Hunter leg armor
Uncanny Arrows - Provides ability energy for each target tethered by Deadfall anchors. Moebius Quiver has an additional shot.
While the stat roll may be the lowest of the trio this week, it doesn’t have any extremely high or low values as everything is spread out fairly evenly. It may be worth picking up to replace an older roll at the very least and while it may not be as powerful as it once was years ago, it still packs a punch for tether hunters.
Crest of Alpha Lupi - Titan chest armor
Survival Well - Generates an additional Orb of Power from Supers and a healing pulse when Barricade is activated.
While this is an extremely useful exotic, especially for solo Titans considering its healing properties, the slight downfall this week is the fact that the Mobility stat is extremely high. Still, the roll itself is the best of the bunch, so this is a solid pickup this week.

Exotic Weapon
This week, the pulse rifle known as Graviton Lance is in stock. Black Hole is its exotic perk which gives the second shot of a burst high damage and recoil with no falloff. It synergizes with the Cosmology perk as any kills made with the gun cause enemies to detonate and spawn Void projectiles that track other targets.
After all this time, pulse rifles remain a very strong weapon class inDestiny 2, so this is already a solid weapon. While effective in PvP, this gun really shines when up against multiple enemies for its ability to cause AoE damage.

Since Season 16 removed the Presage and Harbinger exotic missions,Xur is also selling both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale with randomized rolls. Players should visit him each weekend as he’ll be carrying different rolls.
