The remake of the iconic From Software gameDemon’s Soulsis set to debut alongside the PlayStation 5 console on November 12. WithDemon’s Soulsbeing one of the most anticipated launch titles for the new system, fans should be pleased to hear that the game has reportedly gone gold.
With other November titlessuch asAssassin’s Creed ValhallaandSpider-Man: Miles Moralesconfirming their “gold” status, Twitter user Moonlao was wondering why no such confirmation has come from Bluepoint. The user, nervous that the game may not arrive on its previously announced release date because of this, questioned industry insider and YouTuber Lance McDonald. Surprisingly, McDonald stated that the game already went gold last month.

WithDemon’s Soulssupposedly reaching completion on September 24th, it is a bit odd that no official announcement was made from Bluepoint or Sony regarding the game entering mass distribution and copies being sent to stores worldwide. Despite the quiet nature of Bluepoint, the excitement around the remake remains high, with many PS5 adopters consideringDemon’s Soulsa must-have gamecome launch day.
While many are excited for the remake, fans have taken to looking at thetroubled development of the originalDemon’s Souls. While the game is considered a masterpiece by many of its fans today, at the time it was considered a failure by the producers and developers of the game. The story of Hidetaka Miyazaki rehauling the project and telling white lies to Sony so that his vision could be kept intact is no doubt incredible, but it is nice to know that development on theDemon’s SoulsRemake has seemingly gone much better. However, it is worth noting that From Software hasn’t officially confirmed anything, so this news should still be taken with a grain of salt.
Unfortunately, some purists have called theDemon’s Soulsremake’s deluxe edition pay to win. While most people likely won’t mind all the content and bonuses provided within the special, more expensive version of theDemon’s Soulsremake, fans of the incredibly challenging game believe the boosts provided are tainting the experience of the challenging action game.
Regardless of whether theDemon’s Soulspurists are proven correct upon the game’s launch, all fans should find happiness in the remake going gold. Though theDemon’s Soulsremake has a big file size, it should be both manageable and worth the storage space for all the players excited about the upcoming game.
