In the endless time provided byDeathloop’s titular loop, players must become the ultimate executioner, dispatching all eight Visionaries within the confines of a single day. In a way,Deathloopis the perfect game for trophy and achievement hunters; nothing is permanently missable, and trying different things for the sake of it is ultimately what time loops are all about.
One of the more interesting trophies,Cooking With Gas, tests players' deadly knowledge by tasking them with igniting a gas cloud while an enemy is inside it. Much like theViolent Delightstrophy that wanted two visionaries dead with one shot, this one forces players to look at the game differently and find their own solution from the many that Arkane Studios has provided - even if some were provided unintentionally.
How To Unlock the Cooking With Gas Trophy
As mentioned above, there are several ways to approach and unlock the Cooking With Gas trophy. Some methods are slightly more complicated than others, but players are encouraged to challenge themselves - getting the trophy in a ridiculous way can be more rewarding than going for the safest strategies.
The Easy Way - Stealing A Gas Gun

When looking for areas full of gas, players who have already explored each ofDeathloop’s areas will likely have Karl’s Bay spring to mind. Home tothe eccentric visionary Harriet Morse, it should come as no surprise that the character that Colt gave the codename ‘gasbag’ is surrounded by gas. Killing her isn’t particularly difficult; with the Steel Lungs trinket, players can sneak through the gas underneath her hangar before emerging in the main room. From there, reaching Harriet is as simple as shifting on top of the plane, activating Aether to sneak through the lasers, and putting a few well-placed shots into her.
The ultimate reward for this strategy is Harriet’s pistol; a four-pounder with the added ability to create gas clouds wherever its shots land. Players can take this gun, shoot the ground near any regular enemy, and use another gun to shoot at the cloud to make it explode. The trophy will unlock soon after, and if players make it to the end of the day, theycan infuse the gunto add it to their arsenal permanently.
Noteworthy Strategies
There are several places on the island of Blackreef with deadly gas, and players shouldn’t feel limited when aiming for this trophy. The list below shares some slightly more involved and enjoyable ways of getting the Cooking with Gas trophy, but there are plenty more that players can stumble into. They would also do well to remember that Colt is not explosion-proof, despite sometrinkets making him more resistantto explosions, gas, and general damage.
