How to Equip Combat Items in Darkest Dungeon 2
The first step toward using a Combat Item is to equip it, and that can be done through each character’s Combat Skills menu. To access that menu, players should simply right-click on theDarkest Dungeon 2herothat they want to give a Combat Item to, either in an Inn or at the bottom of the screen while driving the Coach, and then select the dagger at the top-left corner. From here, players should direct their attention to the icons depicting the hero’s skills, as this is where they will equip the Combat Item.

More specifically, there will be a square amidst the Combat Skills with plus sign in it but no icon. When fans have located that square, they should open their inventories, select the sword and shield symbol to view their Combat Items, and then drag the item of interest to the plus sign. It is at this point that the Combat Item will officially be equipped, andDarkest Dungeonfanswill now be able to use it in battle.
How to Use Combat Items in Darkest Dungeon 2
With respect to exactly how to use a Combat Item once it has been equipped, it is as simple as entering a fight, waiting until it is the turn of the hero that has it in their possession, and then selecting it from their row of skills. Notably, Combat Items always appear at the right end of that row, and they can be used as free action. This means that fans ofhard RPGscan use a Combat Item and a standard skill in the same turn, provided that they do things in the right order.
One final thing to mention about Combat Items is that they do not carry over across runs in thisroguelite game. As such, players should not be too precious about these items, and they may want to consider using them fairly aggressively. Indeed, it is better to get some advantage out of Combat Items rather than simply letting them go to waste.
