The controversialCyberpunk 2077has had a shaky reception since its debut in December 2020. After all, what should have been an immersive experience paved with a dystopian-neon fused aesthetic was plagued with nothing but incessant game-breaking issues, which left nothing but a bitter taste for players who were hoping for a polished adventure. However, developer CD Projekt Red is trying to set the record straight as thelatest majorCyberpunk 2077update adds countless improvements, including stunning graphical changes that breathe new life into the game.

For the uninitiated, CD Projekt Red has released amassive new patch forCyberpunk 2077that has just gone live. Fortunately, it’s clear that the studio has been hard at work on making sure that the gameplay experience feels better than ever before, as the update covers almost every aspect of the vast in-game world of Night City. The list of said fixes includes tweaks to AI behavior to re-balancing skills, adding additional elements to the world, and overhauling the driving mechanics.

In short, Night City is finally alive and looking a lot like what CD Projekt Red showedduringCyberpunk 2077’s2018 E3 demo. Although, out of all the welcome additions, fans have mostly directed their attention to the latest graphical overhauls. To reinforce this notion, Reddit user ipod117 has posted a collection of in-game screenshots that compares the patches' most major visual adjustments. It should be noted that the platform featured in the gallery focus on the PS5 version ofCyberpunk 2077, with the first image playing the PS4 version of the game but on a PS5, and the second is the new next generational update on PS5.

As seen in the comparison above, therecentgraphic upgrades are literally night and day, as thecustomizableCyberpunk 2077player character modelshave certainly gone under re-evaluation in update 1.5. Before, when inspecting a mirror, the in-game model would stare witlessly expressionless at the camera, while shrouded with overblown rays that accentuate the preceding version’s lacking hair textures. Now, the model is incredibly lit up with added volumetric lighting combined with an astounding level of visual sharpness, which overall manages to pump a sense of life into once dreary pictorial appearance.

With the post’s reply section loaded with many users voicing their support regarding how the “game looks so much more detailed now,” it’s clear that gamers are still eager to discover more of whatCyberpunk 2077offers. Hopefully, as more players are now returning to the streets of Night City, this update is just one of many that will undo the game’s blunders and keep the community dialed in until the next subsequent patch.

Cyberpunk 2077is available for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
