When patrolling dungeons inCult of the Lamb, random encounters with charming critters will occasionally unlock new areas on the map designed to help the cult’s expansion. For example, a golden sign can be located in Silk Cradle, the fourth unlockable zone for the player to battle through. Once this sign is found, it states that “Midas' Cave will be unlocked within seven days,” but what this location offers is up to the player to explore.
Midas' Cave is one of themany unlockable areas outsidethe cult withinCult of the Lamb, yet it is one of the vaguest in its purpose. Upon visiting, a new character briefly explains each small area of the map, but something about their attitude is slightly suspicious. Since there are few details, it’s up to the player to explore and discover the quirks of the cave. This location offers several activities that could benefit the player and their cult, but they come at a cost.

5Buy Decorations For The Cult
Between defeating heretics andindoctrinating new followers, decorating the cult is one ofCult of the Lamb’s most charming offerings. Although players will find a lot of decoration blueprints within their journey through different zones, several shops offer prints for purchase — and when a few slots are missing in a collection, this is the best way to find them.
Midas' Cave hosts up to three different decorations each visit, and occasionally these items may be slightly rarer than those found on a dungeon crawl. But alongside this rarity comes a hearty price tag. If there’s one thing to note about Midas' Cave, they don’t hold back from overpricing everything.

4Buy Tarot Cards
Tarot cards are aa valuable assetto any dungeon crawler withinCult of the Lamb. They can aid any journey, no matter how difficult the final boss may be. Like blueprints for decorations, they can be collected along each journey, but having a shop to purchase any missing from the collection is incredibly convenient.

The tarot store in Midas' Cave is very similar to the layout of the decoration store; up to three cards are available for sale each visit. They also range in price and are occasionally rarer than the cards found during a dungeon run. Collecting tarot cards doesn’t equip them immediately, but increases the chances of finding that card within one of the heretic zones. If the player has unlocked the ability to gain four tarot cards at thebeginning of a dungeon, then they won’t be able to visit the tarot vendor during a run, but these cards may appear at the beginning.
3Leave Donations
Gold bars are one ofCult of the Lamb’smost challenging itemsto come by, so it’s hard to sacrifice them without knowing what for. They require a selection of items and a refinery before they can be crafted, and much like most things, they come with a cost. Crafting gold bars takes ten coins, and to craft coins, the player needs a number of golden nuggets, so it all comes down to money at the end of the day. Which the locals at Midas Cave are quick to emphasize. In the middle of the area is a small well that immediately requests ten gold bars, but there is no explanation for what the player will receive in return.

Leaving a few donations returns no rewards. Even after spending hours crafting gold bars in a refinery, Midas is quick to tell the player that he would’ve accepted half, and the player is poor at negotiating. Following this wealthy donation, the well will request coins, followed by more gold. It’s hard to feel like donating to this well is a worthy cause since the only reward the player receives seems to be a degrading conversation with Midas.
2Buy Devotion
Even though any busy cult will have a hearty devotion return, sometimes a little extra goes a long way. If a player is struggling to unlock a Divine Inspiration and continue building a higher quality of life at their cult, having access to purchasable devotion is hugely convenient. While materials are being farmed, cult members maynot be devoting their time to worship, so it’s beneficial to have access to a consistent source.
However, the method of buying this worship can be confusing to master. As soon as the player interacts with the statue, Midas explains that this worship comes cheaper when the Lamb doesn’t need it, but as more is purchased, it increases in cost. But the longer it’s left without a sale, the price drops again. Essentially, the best way to utilize this feature is to buy as much as possible, and then leave the statue a few days to ensure it drops back to its original price.

1Sacrifice Followers For Pieces Of a Dark Talisman
The convenience of sacrificing followers is entirely dependent on how developed and bustling a player’s cult is. If there are few followers, having to release one to the hands of Midas may leave a critter-shaped hole in the cult. But if there area few to spare, this method of gaining a Dark Talisman is more accessible than every other unlockable area inCult of the Lamb.
Rather than collecting Eye of Witness or collecting a selection of hard-to-catch fish, Midas' Cave allows the player to walk to the top of the map, select a follower, and gain a piece of the Talisman. After sacrificing four followers, Midas will stop gifting fragments of the dark talisman. However, collecting four parts will result in the ability to unlock a fleece, which can aid the player’s journey through defeating heretics with various buffs and abilities.
