Stardew Valleyis one of the biggest indie releases of recent memory. The PC version ofupdate 1.5 ofStardew Valleyreleased recently, but the console version has yet to go live. However, according to a recent tweet from the game’s developer, the console version of update 1.5 could arrive as soon as the end of January.
There isso much in update 1.5 ofStardew Valley, making it the biggest update yet, including a new Beach Farm type, new advanced game options, local split-screen, and much more. Unfortunately, that fun is not yet ready for consoles, or mobile, for that matter. But developer Eric Barone (@Concerned Ape on Twitter) took to social media to share an update with the fans and let them know that the console version will be ready in early 2021. There is a chance it could be ready by the end of January even, but he isn’t guaranteeing that.

The mobile version ofStardew Valleyhas no timetable yet. Each version of the game has its own pros and cons. HavingStardew Valleyin the palm of one’s hand is a huge plus, which is why the iOS/Android version is so nice. But the culmination of all of the console and mobile/portable elements may be with theSwitch version is the best way to playStardew Valley. Regardless, mobile users will have to wait a bit longer.
Of course, console players have so much to look forward to with the new update with the Beach Farm, split-screen, new options, and more. Inupdate 1.5 ofStardewValley players can even unlock Ginger Islandand explore what it has to offer as well, as PC players discover plenty of things to do that console players will jump on the moment they are able to download the update.
Thesecrets of update 1.5 ofStardew Valleyare being discovered as well. Eric Barone likes to sprinkle plenty of hidden easter eggs, features, and surprises throughoutStardew Valley,so expect to find a lot of them in this newest update and in the game in general.
The hope for console players is thatStardew Valleydrops sooner rather than later. Of course, whenever it does arrive it will surely be a fun experience. No one would want it to be rushed and broken. The expectation is that when it arrives, it will be polished and enjoyable, and that’s what PC players have had thus far.
