Summary
Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers notice new squad labels during the end sequence once victory has been obtained, with many of them now calling out players who the game considers to be dead weight or less than helpful. Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 finally arrived, bringing new content to the game as well as plenty of updates and quality of life improvements. This also extends toWarzone, which saw thenew Urzikstan map arrive alongside a variety of changes to looting, dynamic public events, and a brand-new Gulag map called Silo.
The patch notes forSeason 1 ofCall of Duty: Warzoneare extensive, covering every new aspect, piece of content, or quality of life changes impacting the overall experience. Movement and map traversal also saw plenty of tweaks in Season 1 with several multiplayer perks like Tac Pads and Commando Gloves enabled by default. Players can utilize a tactical stance which grants faster mobility by reduced ADS accuracy, or utilize new Ziplines which join vertical ascenders as ways to quickly move around the new map. However, there’s one under the radar change in Season 1 which seems to be a big hit with the community.

Over on theCall of Duty: WarzonesubReddit, a user named Punkee_ posted a short video of the squad victory screen, which labeled each member of the team for what they were deemed best at during the match. ForCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 1, it seems new labels were added to the pool and some of them call out players who may have had a less than good game. For example, Pacifist is given to a player who didn’t score a kill and shows their character smelling a flower. Weakest Link is for the player who offered the least to the squad with a description that reads they were carried to victory, as the animation shows the character accidentally firing a weapon and a teammate quickly taking it away.
TheCall of Duty: Warzonecommunity seems to have taken to these new labels, plus the other, more positive ones like Immortal and Supplier. Many in the thread comments found the new labels hilarious, especially the Dead Weight one which calls out less than helpful teammates, though there were a few who recently got that tag but felt like they had played reasonably well. One player even mentioned they had the most kills on the team, more than doubling the count of their nearest teammate, and somehow still managed to earn Dead Weight at the end of the match.
While the squad labels have quickly become a fan favorite element inCall of Duty: Warzone, one other change has seemingly had the opposite effect. ManyModern Warfare 3players find the new intro cinematic to be a bit awkward, which no longer shows off player characters in the plane about to drop. Instead, the cinematic takes place on the ground level where the NPC Philip Graves briefs the team before the plane takes off. Some of the biggest criticism many seem to have is that it’s just too long, with poor pacing, and has worse than expected visuals. It can also be a bit jarring to see a character like Graves giving orders to a character who is using Captain John Price, considering the campaign’s narrative.
