Summary
Activision dropped a freshCall of Duty: Warzonetrailer showcasing the game’s upcoming wave of content, including the new Urzikstan map. The novelties featured in the video are allarriving as part ofCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 1.
Theinaugural season ofModern Warfare 3kicks off on December 6. That date will also mark the debut of the shooter’sWarzoneintegration. One of the biggest changes that Season 1 will make to Activision’s free-to-play battle royale game will arrive in the form of a new map, Urzikstan, which will replace Al Mazrah.

New Warzone Trailer Combines Urzikstan With French Classical Music
A December 4 trailer offered yet another extended look athow Urzikstan will look inCall of Duty:Warzone. The newly debuted video has quite a bit of flair, combining gameplay footage with pre-rendered character close-ups into a decisively dramatic promo edited to the sounds of French classical music. Specifically, Activision used Claude Debussy’s 19th-century piano pieceClair de lune(Moonlight) as the backdrop for the newWarzonetrailer, with rather cinematic results.
Aside from showcasing some dramatic action across Urzikstan, the video also goes over a number of gameplay changes that Season 1 will bring toWarzone. Those includeTac-Stance fromModern Warfare 3, a new mechanic that attempts to combine the hip fire and aiming-down-sights (ADS) modes into a uniquely adaptable stance that brings the best of both worlds.Warzoneplayers will be able to enter Tac-Stance by aiming down the sights and pressing down on the d-pad. Doing so will sacrifice some of the ADS accuracy for extra mobility, which promises to be particularly useful in close-quarters combat. Tac-Stance will also activate automatically while sliding, unless disabled in the game’s settings.

COD: Warzone Season 1 Content and Features
Another notable change debuting inWarzoneSeason 1 concerns water traversal; as seen in the brief trailer segment featuring a diving operator, players will now always have a backup pistol equipped while swimming. The upcoming season will also mark the return of unadulterated slide canceling, a mechanic that was severely limited in last year’sModern Warfare 2, only to make a triumphant return in its sequel.
As for the upcoming scenery switch,Warzoneplayers who already boughtModern Warfare 3should have a pretty good idea about what to expect from the new map. Namely, Urzikstan has been present in the newCall of Dutygame from day one, because it serves as the setting for its open-world Zombies mode. And though theCOD: Warzoneversion of the map will be largely unchanged, it will offer one unique feature in the form of a fully functional train, which can also be seen near the end of the new trailer.
