The latest update forCall of Duty: Warzoneis out, and players are already aligned on what they love and hate about the changes.Season 4 Reloadedadded new cosmetics, nerfed some weapons, and added a new sniper and recon tool for players to try out. What seems to be the most discussed among fans, however, is the new 200 player Quads mode.

Warzone’s latest update added 50 players to the Quads mode, where players can group up in teams of four. Singles, Duos, and Trios are all still set at 150, while Quads now has an added challenge. While some fans are enjoying the extra challenge, a vast number of themare claiming 200 is too many players to battle. AlthoughWarzonehas a large map, players tend to stick to certain high-loot areas. With 50 extra players fighting for those positions, the difficulty of the game shot up quite a bit.

While some may say that the difficulty is one of the draws of the game mode, the technical issues also come into play. Many players have reported connection and game issues since the mode was changed, citing that 200 players is too many for the servers to handle in one match. Server issues, combined with the current hacker problem, makes Quads nearly unplayable for many. At the bottom line, no matter how fun a game mode may be, it isn’t fun for those who can’t even play it.

As if the extra 50 players wasn’t polarizing enough, the game also has new Gulag weapons, most notably being the addition of snipers. In such a close space, many players prefer to justuse fists to fight rather than a long-ranged gun, which isn’t always a bad tactic. The Reloaded update also nerfed several weapons, but many fans are complaining that some of the changes are barely noticeable. While games can never please everyone, it seems this update is already more divisive than usual.

This Quads update comesonly a few weeks after the Realism modecontroversy, where many players were issuing the same request for things to go back to how they were. It seems like, no matter which wayWarzonehas gone lately, the game just can’t seem to find the perfect middle ground. Hopefully, players will come to enjoy the new mode, or at least make do with it until the next big change happens.
