The originalglitch mainly affectedCall of Duty: Modern Warfareas players learned to “lock” doors. The act was simple, as players would just open the door, push it until it was almost closed, then stand next to it, effectively barring it from opening. Due to the door being bulletproof, players could become invincible. With the original strategy, players could still pass it by using an explosive on the door. Most blast radius weapons would forcefully blow the door open and show players on the other side, but a new strategy may have locked in this exploit as broken. In a video posted by JackFrags, a player inCall of Duty: Warzonehas found a way to trap themselves inside of a bunker indefinitely, making them unkillable.
In the video, a player has locked themselves intheCall of Duty: Warzonebunkerand somehow bypassed the normal explosive fix. By standing in a certain position, they are able to keep the door locked indefinitely, regardless of any explosive damage forcing the door open.
Thankfully, it seems that only theclassicModern Warfaredoor lock strategyis widely known. The strategy shown in the video is a new occurrence that still remains a mystery. Some players guess that the player on the other side of the door may just be exceptionally good at dodging explosives, or maybe they are keeping the door in place using a piece of equipment like a trophy system.
Still, thisbug is exclusive toCall of Duty: Warzonebunkersor metal doors, making it a very niche bug to exploit. As players continue to find ways to bypass this small glitch, the developers are no doubt hard at work finding a solution before this becomes a more prominent problem.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
