Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s highly-anticipated Season 6 update is set to roll out on September 29. But thanks to the ongoing partnership betweenCall of Dutyand the PlayStation brand, those on PS4 will be able to pre-load the update. TheModern WarfareSeason 6 pre-load on PS4 has started rolling out to some users, revealing the file size in the process.
On PS4, theModern WarfareSeason 6file size will be about 20 GB. TheModern WarfareSeason 6 start time is believed to be September 29 at 2am ET, so players won’t actually get to see the new content until then. Unfortunately for those on PC and Xbox One, it’s quite likely that theModern WarfareSeason 6 pre-load will be exclusive to PS4 players.

While those on PC and Xbox may be disappointed that they won’t get to pre-loadModern WarfareSeason 6, the bright side is that the update isn’t too large. Of course, it’s possible that the PC and Xbox One file sizes will be slightly different. But even if they don’t match theModern WarfareSeason 6 PS4 file size, fans shouldn’t have to worry about amassive update file size like Xbox Onefans dealt with for Season 5.
SpecificModern WarfareSeason 6 patch notes are unavailable at the time of this writing, butInfinity Wardhas released a trailer that gives fans an idea of what to expect. Namely,Modern WarfareSeason 6 will add Farrah and Nikolai as playable operators in multiplayer. And while nothing has been announced just yet,Modern WarfareSeason 6 will almost assuredly be adding new weapons to go along with a new Battle Pass.
There should be new maps and other new content forModern WarfareSeason 6, which will likely be revealed on Monday, September 28. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to some new content for theWarzonebattle royaleas well. Not a lot of that new content has been detailed either, but it does seem as though subway stations are coming toWarzone.
Thesubway stations inWarzonewill act as fast travel points, and they will also give players some new areas to explore. Needless to say, they should change up strategies quite a bit, especially when it comes to where players land on the map. It will be interesting to see how theWarzonemeta changes with the subway stations and other potential new content coming as part of Season 6.
