The Shinigami and Quincy are considered polar opposites for several reasons, and their contrasting dress codes emphasize these distinctions. The Soul Reapers favor traditional, predominantly black Japanese attire, while the Quincy preferto wear white regalia, crafted in a distinctive Western style. This is likely indicative of their Germanic inspiration but is also comparable to typical Catholic garbs. Nevertheless, the Sternritter’s style emphasizes their foreignness inBleach.
Yhwatch’s regal, refined red cloak may be iconic, but many of his fellow Quincy make much grander fashion statements yet still maintain a semblance of the formal Quincy standards. While the Sternritter are expectedto wear the stock-standard uniform, nothing is stopping them from adding their own unique flair, subsequently creating some simply marvelous results.

Specific events fromBleach: Thousand Year Blood War Arcwill not be discussed, so no need to fear those dreaded spoilers. This content refers to the manga and may contain visual differences from the new anime adaptation.
Updated June 26, 2025, by Oluwatokiloba Folami: In theBleachseries, after a thousand years, the Quincy clan is back to take their revenge on the Soul Society and the Soul Reapers. The Quincy clan is known for killing Hollows alongside the Soul reapers, but what differentiates them is how they kill these hollows. The Quincy race destroys hollows completely, unlike the Shinigami, who send the soul trapped in the hollow to the soul society, maintaining a balance.

InBleach, once the Soul Society notices the pending danger of the Quincy clan’s actions, they destroy them in order to protect the balance. As the Quincy clan makes their reappearance, they come with a bang. Unlike the soul reapers, who wear black flowing kimonos, they are distinctly different and stand out in their white attire while adding some little touches to make their uniform fit their personalities.

12Robert Accutrone: Simple Assassination
Robert Accutrone’s style is simple, but it perfectly captures his cold and stoic demeanor, with his glasses adding more fierceness to his look. Robert dresses like he is ready to kill and, after killing, calmly walks away from the scene, leaving no clue behind. He wears his white Quincy uniform with a cloak, a trench jacket that reaches his calf, white pants, white shoes, and a white belt.
Underneath his uniform is a shirt that he complements with a blue tie and his silver briefcase. His pistols bring his whole outfit together, giving him that cold-blooded assassin vibe.

11Askin Nakk Le Vaar: An Alternative Touch
Askin adds a twist to his uniform by rocking it with baggy pants with the ends tucked neatly into his boots. In addition, he has layers of silver around his V-line neckline, crotch, shin, and left arm. The layers around his left arm are red, pink, and purple, adding color to his white uniform.
The layers around his shin and neck have periwinkle stripes that complement the silver in his outfit. There is also a noticeable indigo jewel at the center of his pants' waistline In addition, Askin sometimes wears a purple mask that covers half of his face and black gloves. It might be safe to describe Askin’s style as simple but eccentric.

10Quilge Opie: A Dash Of Orders
Quilge Opie carries himself like a no-nonsense military man, passing out orders without a care in the world as it is beneath him. He wears red-tinted round glasses that act as a two-way radio with his shiny black and well-groomed hair, with one side cut low and the other side reaching below his red-tinted glasses.
He may be quite easy to notice, especially with the blue cross around his neck. He wears his Quincy uniform with black and white knee-high boots and a black belt with a fancy buckle. To top his whole look up, he rocks a cropped white cape over his uniform and seals it up with a black and white cap with gold trimmings.

9Giselle Gewelle: Gamer Girl Chic
Giselle manages to look comfy and elegant simultaneously, with her elongated double-breasted jersey and form-fitting ebony stockings flawlessly accented by bulky white ankle boots. Giselle’s miniaturized hat is simply adorable and, combined with her antenna-like tendrils of hair, gives the appearance of headphones, while her blue heart bucklesends out some strong 90s vibes.
The fact that Giselle is a biological male doesn’t stop this Sternritter from living her truth, and her fellow Quincy accepts this hemophiliac as another “one of the girls.” “The Zombie’s” outfit perfectly compliments her carefree, fun-loving personality (with an apparent disparity to her sporadic sadistic, necrophiliac side).

8Candice Catnipp: Leaving Little To The Imagination
Candice is the proud owner of some of the finest, most luscious locks in the Quincy clan, that conveniently match her sea green eyes. Candice has also shaped her eyebrows into elegant lightning bolts asa shout-out to her elemental abilities, while those skintight short shorts are enough to make Daisy Duke do a double take.
This vixen is not afraid to put the breast in double-breasted, as her jacket barely covers her ample bosom, but Candice manages to keep the fabulous shawl collar intact for that added chic factor. Candice’s pet peeve is to appear disheveled during battle, as she wishes to always look her best, regardless of the circumstances.

7Bazzard Black: Pink Punk Rocker
Bazzard Black is commonly known asBazz-B and even better known for his coral-colored majestic mohawk. He clearly has the punk look handled, which is well suited to his rebellious personality. “The Great Bazz” has embellished his ears with two nuts and a bolt for earrings toemphasize his alternative styleand keeps his black collar popped to always lead the eye upwards.

“The Heat” accessorizes with signature black bicep-based armbands adorned with a skull-and-cross bone design, along with matching gloves (which are all colored pink in several Manga panels). Those trendy capri pants, military boots, and slightly cropped coat perfectly finish off Bazz-B’s eye-catching ensemble.
6Äs Nödt: Gothic Noir
While many people are tired ofseeing masks, not many can saythey have seen one quite like Äs Nödt’s, which screams “social distancing” with its intimidating, spiky studs. While this look is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, Äs Nödt is clearly channeling his inner rock star and would fit in perfectly at any Metalfest or in a Judas Priest music video.
While Äs Nödt might not listen to The Cure, he is evidently also inspired by their style, opting to wear an ankle-length trenchcoat with fingerless gloves for an added dramatic effect. “The Fear’s” death metal aura is accentuated by his long, sleek, raven-colored hair, which would also be perfect for headbanging.

5Shaz Domino: A Spot Of Color
Shaz understands the concept of adding bold accents, with enough pizzazz to draw attention without overwhelming the senses. Although Shaz barely gets any time in the spotlight, the impression he leaves is unforgettable, particularly considering his intriguing backstory.
Shaz wears his blond hair cropped short and shaved into five neat segments, while his baggy clothes appear to have been selectedstraight from Kanye West’swardrobe. Tucking the billowing breeches into his knee-high boots gives a distinctive pirate vibe, and the coattails simply seal the deal. The crème de la crème is clearly the leopard print waistcoat and elegantly spotted accents across Shaz’s face, ensuring that his short appearance is at least a memorable one.

4Bambietta Basterbine: J-Pop Style
Bambietta’s outfit would allow her to easily assimilate intoany admirable J Pop group, as it features a signature short pleated skirt with an intricate form-fitting cropped blazer as the cherry on top. Bambietta’s high-rise white socks and boots with coordinating gauntlet gloves finish off the sultry schoolgirl fashion statement.
Possibly in an attempt to convince others that she does possess a heart, Bambietta wears her red cordate jewel front-and-center, adding complimentary ruby accents here and there for emphasis. “The Explode” scores significantly high on the Waifu scale, particularly for those who can handle the Tsundere type.

3Gerard Valkyrie: Marvel Vibes
Who says Quincy can’t enjoy a little cosplay? Gerard Valkyrie certainly does, with hisCaptain-America-meets-Thor-themedensemble. It is unclear how Gerard’s attire passes the Quincy uniform standard, however, the black leggings and white boots follow the color scheme at least.

“The Miracle” is frequently bare-chested, showing off his rugged physique but forcing him to strap his red superhero-styled cape around his arms like a backpack, and yet Gerard still manages to pull it off somehow. His gold-and-silver embellished accessories are topped off with a winged Viking-style helmet in an ode to his namesake, which is derived from Norse mythology.
