Summary
In 2022, Hidetaka Miyazaki did the unthinkable by bringingDark Souls' engrossing and challenging combat formula to a beautiful, fully realized open-world.Elden Ringhas gone on to be one of the most celebrated games in recent years and has sold over 20 million copies. Taking on the role of Tarnished in the Lands Between gives players the freedom to roam a stunning map filled with horrifying enemies. Among themany nasty foes out to take the player downare those who live beyond death, enemies that simply will not stay down once dispatched.
However, someElden Ringweapons give the player an edge overundead-type enemies, namely those capable of dealing holy damage. There are multiple weapons like this for players to make use of on their journey, and each of them is sure to prove useful when facing enemies that laugh in the face of death.

7Miquellan Knight’s Sword
Miquellan Knight’s Swordis a special straight sword that players can acquire for making their way through Elphael, the Brace of the Haligtree legacy dungeon. It requires reasonable attribute requirements in strength, dexterity, and faith to wield it and has damage output split between physical and holy. This sword is a fair choice for taking on undead enemies but conditionally so. Regular hits will not kill undead enemies the first time around, but its skilled strikes and unique attack will. Moreover, the weapon’s split in physical and holy damage is considerably tipped in favor of physical damage.
Other holy damage weapons will more deftly handle undead-type enemies, but Miquellan Knight’s Sword is an effectively scalable and reliable weapon for the task.

6Ash of War: Scared Blade
For players not looking to invest in holy weapons, holy damage can be brought to an armament with the appropriate incantations, buffs, or upgrades. TheAsh of War: Sacred Bladeis such a skill that brings Holy damage and even faith scaling to a weapon of the player’s choice. Players can find the Ash of War: Sacred Blade by slaying the teardrop scarab beyond theThird Church of Marika. Dealing 100% holy damage once applied, this is an accessible holy damage choice for any player as it is usable on a broad array of weapon classes.
As this Ash of War is easily acquired and can help a player dealing with undead enemies at any time, those making their way through catacombs and graveyards should keep it at ready.

5Golden Order Greatsword
A reward for clearing theCave of the Forlornmini-dungeon in the Consecrated Snowfield, theGolden Order Greatswordis a powerful weapon, steeped in lore. Constructed of light, this legendary Greatsword was created by Radagon himselfand grants the player remarkable holy damage output. Claiming the weapon demands a considerable attribute investment of the player across strength, dexterity, and, in particular, faith. The Golden Order Greatsword offers an added 20% damage to undead enemies and has considerable range to its holy damage output.
A true Holy Damage specialty weapon, the Golden Order Greatsword scales considerably with investment. Not only will the damage output rise, but its faith scaling is more than worth the grind for somber smithing stones.

4Inseparable Sword
One of the finest weapons in the game for any faith builds, theInseparable Swordis a greatsword of perfectly balanced physical and holy damage output. Abrilliant mainstay in a faith build’s arsenal, the Inseparable Sword offers a unique two-handed move set and does not require overwhelming attribute investment from the player. To acquire the Inseparable Sword, players will have tofell D, Hunter of the Dead. Once he takes hisTwinned Armorset and hands it to his brother at the Prince of Death’s throne, this will cue a boss battle, which overcoming will grant the weapon.
The only greatsword in the game to rest on the hip when sheathed, the Inseparable Sword scales considerably and deals 20% extra damage to undead enemies.

3Order’s Blade
For those not seeking holy weapons and scaling them, some spells and incantationscan turn any weapon into a holy damage-wreaking machine. TheOrder’s Bladeis available from D, Hunter of the Dead for 3,000 runes or from Twin Maiden Husks in exchange for D’s Bell Bearing. Requiring only 13 intelligence and faith attributes, this Holy Attack power buff is almost disproportionately worth an investment. This incantation promises 100% added damage to Undead-type enemies no matter the weapon used.
The buff will cost 22 FP, and it will only enchant a right-handed armament, yet the damage output offered will give the player the confidence to take on any undead enemies.

2Golden Epitaph
A powerfully scaling straight sword with low attribute requirements, theGolden Epitaphis arguablythe best weapon in the gameto take down Undead enemies. To acquire it, the player must enter Auriza Hero’s Grave in the Capital Outskirts, where they’ll find it behind an Imp Statue Seal not far beyond the entrance. Its innate 170 damage output is split equally between physical and holy damage, but the weapon truly shines with its added 30% of damage when used against undead enemies.
Fully scaling the Golden Epitaph can create one of the most potent straight swords in the game, though its stat scaling remains rather negligible despite this.

1Litany of Proper Death
Something of a cheat button for dealing with Undead-type enemies, the incantationLitany of Proper Deathoffers exorbitant damage to those living beyond death. At the cost of only 17 FP, Mage builds can wield this undead destroyer for just 17 intelligence and faith attribute investments. Offering a whoppingover 900% damage to the undead, this is an incantation to be sought for any player seeking help with the game’s many such enemies. Faith and intelligence builds should consider this spell for its remarkable one-shot abilities on the game’s numerous skeletons, death birds, and skeletal snails.
Likely the only downside to the Litany of Proper Death is its one-dimensional nature – this will wipe out any undead enemies before it, but it won’t offer anything else.
