Halls of Tormentpresents players with several unique playable characters they can choose from to fight the Tormented Lords and their waves of enemies and monsters in the game. These playable characters have unique traits, base attacks, and attributes, giving them different advantages in battle. From Archers to Warlocks, a player can select a character that best suits them.

Players can advance and improve their hero with character traits,upgrading their abilitiesand using items found in the game. There are seven playable character classes that gamers can build and customize their players from. Depending on their preferred fighting style, players can choose characters adept at long-range battle or characters ideal for close-quarters combat.
7Warlock
Warlocks are summoners; their primary weapon is to call forth a summoned unit that charges at the enemy dealing damage to them. They can summon a Golem that has a slow but wide range of attack, rolling and damaging enemies in its path. Warlocks can also summon Lightning strikes that hit random targets and stuns other nearby enemies.
Warlock’s default attack does not pack a lot of punch. However, it is capable of destroying a lot of enemies and also has a long range. Any player using the Warlock character will be unable to strike critical hits to the enemy due to its base stat of zero.

6Exterminator
The Exterminator character is a ranged fighter with an array of fire-based attacks that deals a lot of damage to the enemies. Players can use the default flamethrower attack to deal damage in a straight line hitting and piercing several enemies simultaneously. Exterminators have very fast and efficient attacks, which in some cases, burn the enemies and continue to damage them while they are on fire.

Exterminators are powerful with great speed and devastating attacks, some players have described them to be potently dangerous to the enemy. Despite their attack power and attack speed, they have very low defensive attributes and are vulnerable to enemy attacks. Overall, Exterminators are as unique as they are deadly.
5Cleric
Players who like necromancy will love this character. Clerics are undead characters that use a staff as their main weapon to kill and destroy enemies and monsters in the game. Clerics’ attacks are very slow but are devastating and painful, which can deal severe damage to the strongest enemies. Their attack can also destroy and scatter enemy formations.
The Cleric’s default attack can hit several enemies simultaneously, and its form has a large cone shape area of effect. The Cleric’s default attack damage is split among enemies if the attack hits multiple enemies at once. However, if the attack hits a single enemy, that enemy bears the full brunt of the damage from the attack.

4Sorceress
Sorceresses are powerful characters that fire bolts of lightning that damage the enemy; these bolts can hit multiple targets simultaneously. They are masters of the arcane artspossessing powerful spellsthat can effectively damage even bosses in the game. To unlock this character, players would have to defeat 10000 enemies in Forgotten Viaduct.

Offensively this character is very effective with a medium attack range; however, they have a poor defensive stat and one of the lowest base health stat. They are agile and nimble enough to evade attacks from enemies and have a good chance of dealing a critical strike to the enemy.
3Archer
Players that love to snipe enemies and fight from afar would enjoy choosing this playable character. Archers are ideal for taking down enemies from long distances with their preferredweapon of choice, the Bow and Arrow. This character class' default attack allows players to fire two arrows at hitting multiple enemies at once.
The likelihood of this character striking a critical hit on the enemy is the highest of all the playable character classes inHalls of Torment. There are terrifying adversaries for the enemies due to their high offensive ability and critical hit chance. However, they are vulnerable defensively, they have the lowest defensive stats in the game. Archers use their agility and mobility to cover their lack of defense by evading attacks and staying out of harm’s way.

2Swordsman
This character is the default starting character inHalls of Tormentand is regarded as the most balanced character by some fans. Swordsmen are melee fighters that use swords as their primary weapon and can damage or piece multiple enemies with one strike. Although they neither focus on defense nor attack, they have strong stats for both attributes.
Regardless of the enemies in their path, the Swordsman character can hold their own in battle against these enemies. This is primarily because of their well-rounded attack-defense balance and their skillfulness with a sword. It is also worth noting that this character has the highest base health stat in the game.

1Shieldmaiden
Shieldmaidens boast the strongest defense of all characters inHalls of Torment. They are well-rounded characters excelling at both offense and defense. They have high durability, which increases their chances of winning, and their damage to enemies increases as their Block Strength increases.
Offensively, their attacks knock away enemies, and their Critical Hit deals 200% damage to the enemy. They are capable of dealing damage to the enemy with offensive attacks such as Radiant Aura, which damages surrounding enemies, and Dragon’s Breath which deals fire damage to enemies in front of them.
