Manga and anime are known for having all kinds of protagonists,whether they’re animals, demons, or even from another world. The sky’s the limit, and while there are certainly plenty of generic, trope-ridden protagonists, there are plenty that break the mold as well.
Angels are a classic part of fantasy stories, with most stories involving them usually being religious in some way. Sometimes, there are manga that feature an angel protagonist. Angel protagonists are rare, but they certainly add some spice to a story, as the following examples illustrate.

Eden sends pairs of angels, one to find the good in humans and another to find the bad. If humanity receives 10,000 negative checks, they will be destroyed. Chihaya and Kagetsuya are two such angels, and their relationship forms the core of the story.

4Eniale & Dewiela

Fans of fashion, makeup, and all kinds of luxury, the two spend as much time shopping as they do fulfilling the wishes of humanity and coming head-to-head with each other.

Gabriel White Tenma was once the top of her class in angel school, and she was primed to be successful in all of her future endeavors. However, the moment she arrives on Earth, she gets addicted to video games, turning from a diligent angel to an unrepentant slob. Despite having a duty to do as an angel, she spends her days at high school slovenly, even hanging out with the demons that are supposed to be her rivals.
