Assassin’s Creed Miragehas revealed a brand-new screenshot of Basim, the protagonist of the upcoming title, and Roshan though the latter is hidden. It seems as though marketing is really beginning forAssassin’s Creed Mirage, which is slated to arrive in October.
Hype has been slowly building for the game for a while now, and it peaked recently as Ubisoft released thefirst gameplay trailer forAssassin’s Creed Mirage. The reception from fans was extremely promising, as it looks to be the return to the oldAssassin’s Creedformula that was promised. WhileAssassin’s Creed Origins,Odyssey, andValhallawere all successful in their own right, many gamers disagreed with the RPG approach that they took to their game design. Perhaps most promising from the trailer is the return of one-hit stealth kills, rewarding gamers who hide in the shadows while removing the spongy enemies in the RPG titles.

The screenshot was posted by the officialAssassin’s CreedTwitter account, showcasing protagonist Basim lurking in the shadows above his target. It’s extremely cool and shows Basim hiding in the rafters, perhaps hinting at thestealth-focused gameplay thatAssassin’s Creed Mirageseems to be heading towards. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed something that full embraces the “hide in plan sight” approach. Below Basim, back in the crowd, fans have pointed out his mentor Roshan.
Basim made his first appearance inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, and gamers are curious to see how he compares to many of theclassic protagonists in theAssassin’s Creedseriessuch as Ezio Auditore and Edward Kenway. Often in the past,Assassin’s Creedgames have only been as good as their protagonist, so there’s a lot of pressure on his shoulders. A good mentor goes a long way too, as though Roshan was introduced in post-releaseAC Valhallacontent,AC Miragewill show her at the height of her power.
