If there’s one thing thatAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsis best known for, it is its ever-changing features. The environments that players occupy withinAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsare constantly changing depending on the time of year the player is playing the game. Therefore, players can expect to see a number of different occurences within the game, but the most recent one is something of a pleasant surprise.

Beyond the island home the player initially starts out in, there’s various different locations that players can visit inAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsthrough a variety of different means. This includes visiting other player’s islands, as well asdream islands, and taking trips on Kapp’n’s Boat Tour. The boat tour trips allow players to pick up items like gyroid fragments that couldn’t be found anywhere else until now.

Over on Twitter, plenty of users have started to notice gyroid fragments appearing along the beaches of their islands. These fragments are meant to help players buildGyroids, special decorations that make distinct, rhythmic sounds when used. Previously, players could only find gyroid fragments in specific locations, but now thanks to the most recent update, it seems that fragments will start to appear on the beach at random.

While it will be nice for players to more accessibly craft Gyroids without having to rely on off-chance of finding a fragment on one of the boat tours withKapp’n, it does present a rather unique issue. Kapp’n’s utility purpose withinAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsis to help make museum completion easier, but finding particular items while out on boat tours, such as the gyroid fragments, provides players with added incentive to go on boat tours. Now, that gyroid fragments are somewhat more accessible, some players may not want to partake in boat trips anymore.

In any case, it’s amazing to see how much additional content has been provided forAnimal Crossing: New Horizons. After the release of the2.0 update forAnimal Crossing: New Horizons, players are noticing a lot of new things to do and see within the game. Not to mention that this gyroid fragment occurence seems to have taken place after the release of update 2.0.4.

It will be interesting to see what the future holds forAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsgoing forward. While thefinal free content update forAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswas recently released, it’s possible that Nintendo could release more paid DLC going forward. Considering the amount of dedication some fans hold forAnimal Crossing, Nintendo would certainly stand to benefit.
