The Witcherfranchise has grown to be incredibly popular in recent years, withThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntbeing one of the most critically acclaimed games ever made and theNetflix series bringing Geralt’s story to a much larger audience. With so many interesting figures and monsters existing within Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy world, a game likeMinecraftcould do a lot with some crossover content.

Minecrafthas crossed over with many properties over the years, ranging from the animated seriesAdventure Timeto the live action showStranger Things. Video games likeFalloutandMass Effecthave received special cosmetic packs, as have film franchises likeMinions. However,The Witcheris unique because Mojang would not only be able to pull from the video games for a Mashup Pack, but the television series as well.

Content That Could Feature in a Witcher Mashup Pack

Obviously,Geralt of Riviawould be the main attraction of aWitchercrossover, as many would surely love to dress up as the Butcher of Blaviken. Mojang could go out of its way to include all the Witcher school armors that featured inThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, going above and beyond to give players a wide variety of options for how their Geralt looks. Outside the Cat and Griffin outfits, the armor worn by Geralt in the first two Seasons of the show could be incorporated.

Yenneferand Ciri would also benefit from a mashup pack that pulls from the games and Netflix series equally. Yennefer’s many dresses from the Netflix series could be incorporated, like the attire with the mask from when she first met Geralt. Further, her alternative look fromThe Witcher 3can be adapted, with the default clothing from the game present as well. As for Ciri, the mashup pack could include both the young version from the show and the adult variant fromThe Witcher 3.

Beyond the three major characters inThe Witcheruniverse, there are dozens of supporting characters that could be featured. The lovable Regis, loyal Dandelion, and fierce Zoltan could all be fun to see inMinecraft’s signature blocky art style. Other majorWitchers like Vesemir, Lambert, and Eskel would be a must, while sorceresses like Keira Metz and Triss Merigold would be fun additions. All the Wild Hunt would look great as skins, too, with Gaunter and Olgierd from Hearts of Stone providing even more opportunities.

Those familiar withMinecraft’s DLC will know that mashup packs can drastically change the designs of enemies in the world. Given how many mobs exist inMinecraftnow, there are plenty of enemy designs that could get aWitcher-inspired makeover. For instance, the Drowned inMinecraftcould be remodeled to look just like Drowners fromThe Witcher. The Ender Dragon could become a Griffin, while the teleporting abilities of the Endermen make them a natural fit forThe Witcher’s Leshens. Other mobs could get makeovers to look like creatures fromThe Witcheruniverse, with the non-hostile Pigmen in the Nether being replaced by the semi-intelligent Trolls. The list of possibilities is endless, and Mojang could really get creative when bringing creatures like Nekkers toMinecraft.

Beyond redesigned mobs and a huge variety of skins, a texture pack could give players some different blocks that allow them to create cities like Novigrad or the incredibly colorful Toussaint. While it may not be possible toplayGwentwithinMinecraft, everything else that is an essential part ofThe Witcheruniverse could be replicated. With swords and crossbows in the game already, Geralt and the many other important figures ofThe Witcherwould be right at home withinMinecraft.
