With this in mind, it was a good idea to revisit this list and point out more hidden secrets many players may miss. Most of the new entries are more focused onhidden details and easter eggs.
14Savage Starlight Poster
Ellie’s Roomis filled with memorabilia and generally looks like a young adult’s living quarters. Despite being the post-apocalypse, some things never change. One of the many posters on the wall is a cover for a fictional comic book called Savage Starlight.
Fans of the first game will recognize this as the collectible comic bookJoel finds for Ellie throughout the adventure. Looks like her fandom did not wane in the years between the first and second game.

130451 Combination
Early in the game, there is a safe that players unlock with the code 0451. This combination will be familiar to almost any gamer, especially those who enjoy immersive sims.
The particular number is a common code in many games from Looking Glass Studios and Arkane. It does not have any special significance other than becoming a common video game easter egg.

12Dr. Uckman Trading Card
Where the first game sees players collecting comic books,The Last of Us Part IItasks players with finding trading cards. One of the cards is for a character called Doctor Uckmann,an easter egg hiding in plain sight.
This is a clear reference to executive producer and writer Neil Druckmann, one of the creators of the franchise. The card depicts him as an evil scientist. The character on the card even looks like the game designer.

11Joel Is Still Wearing The Watch Sarah Gave Him
The first game begins with Joel’s daughter, Sarah, gifting him a watch. Anyone who played the first game for at least 15 minutes knows that his daughter sadly dies. However, he keeps wearing the watch as a memento of his late daughter.

Observant players will see that he still keeps this watch on during his short appearance in the sequel. Even though it happened a long time ago and he is in a better place at the start of the game, he never forgot Sarah.
10Take On Me
The first area in Seattle is an open environment players can explore with numerous optional buildings. One of these is a music shop nearby the start of the chapter.
Dina sits behind the drums and fools around and the player can appreciate the shop’s detail. Go upstairs to find a guitar where Ellie will serenade Dina with acover of A-ha’s “Take On Me”.

9Climbing The Dinosaur
One flashback sees Joel surprise Ellie with a trip to a museum for her birthday. At the entrance to the location, the two are greeted by a T-Rex. Ellie is simply awestruck by this view.
The player can take things a step further and climb up the dinosaur’s back, much to Joel’s worry. Ellie eventually jumps from the display’s head into the water below, scaring Joel half to death.

8Uncharted And Jak And Daxter On PS3
Throughout the world. Ellie happens upon numerous dustyPlayStation 3consoles. They are always the old models, which somewhat breaks the immersion considering the abundance of slim and super slim models out in the world by 2013.
Additionally, not a singleXbox 360is in sight. The game cases lying by these consoles are alwaysUnchartedandJak and Daxtertitles. Fans will immediately recognize these as two series Naughty Dog created beforeThe Last of Us.

7Sam’s Toy
Ellie’s room in Jackson is brimming with little secrets andEaster eggs. One particularly haunting secret is a toy near her bed.
Those who played the first one recall the toy she saved for Sam in the first game, a young boy traveling with his older brother who eventually got bit and turned. In the first game, Joel comments about the necessity to move on from tragedy and never talk about it, but Ellie keeps the toy as a reminder.

6Strange Relic In Chinatown
During the first day in Seattle while playing as Abby, enter a store in Chinatown with “Red Dragon” written on it. Go up the stairs, clear the Clickers, and cross a small gap into another building.
From here go left, and not up the stairs, to find thestrange artifact on a table. As is the case with most Naughty Dog games sinceUncharted, the artifact is a Precursor orb fromJak and Daxter.
